The Plangere Digital Spaces are two annex rooms on the third floor of Murray Hall that are designated for English Department (or groups that are connected to the English Department) use. Both spaces can connect to a supported wireless network, and for classes that book either 302 or 305. There are 20 dedicated MacBook Pro laptops that are available for student use while in those rooms. REQUEST ROOM RESERVATION
Room 302 (Max 50 occupants) is a digitally enabled meeting/conference room.
The room has a smart podium that has laptop connected projection, Blu-Ray/DVD capability, and microphone hookups available. This room is routinely used for English Faculty Meetings, Writing Program Directors Meetings, CCA (Center for Cultural Analysis) Meetings and Events, and Master Class Meetings with speakers from the Writers at Rutgers series. Faculty can apply to reserve the room for a department or class related event, when the room is not in use. Also, graduate student groups who are hosting an event may also apply to reserve the room.
There are four configurations commonly used in 302:
Room 305 (Max 20 occupants) is a digitally enabled seminar style class space.
The room has a DVD player, a Mac system with wireless keyboard and mouse, which is connected to a Smartboard and plasma monitor. In addition, the room has a laptop connection cable in the conference table that can be connected for projection purposes. This room is ideal for instructors who are interested in teaching in a digitally supported space where digital media can be actively used over the course of a semester.
