Greetings from Michael Goeller
Coordinator of the Plangere Writing Center
Welcome to the Plangere Writing Center, dedicated to promoting better writing at the University. Besides serving as a site of tutoring for students in writing courses, the center also is a hub of activity, hosting readings by Writers at Rutgers, faculty conferences, and writing technology initiatives.
Our chief mission remains as a writing center, and we hope that all students at Rutgers University in New Brunswick know that our services are open to them free of charge.
Students: If you have been thinking of enrolling in tutoring, but haven’t yet taken the plunge, there’s no better time than the present. Stop by the Plangere Writing Center office in Murray Hall 304 to submit your enrollment form for Summer 2007. Our helpful Desk Staff will sign you up with a tutor right on the spot. It won’t cost you anything, and it will help you with your writing and reading.
Tutors: If you are interested in working at Plangere as a tutor, please read through the comprehensive Tutoring Manual and think about submitting an application to work here in Fall 2007. We are always looking for strong writers and thinkers to join our staff.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the Center.
Best wishes for a happy and productive term,
Michael Goeller
